Schools & Clubs - Antigua

The largest of the English speaking leeward Islands.

Like all of the Caribbean, Antigua is a fantastic destination for a sports tour when you want a good mix of sport and relaxation. What better way to prepare for the season coming up.

You will get to play games against teams from right across the island with games being played at a variety of destinations.

With netball being the most popular girls sport in the Caribbean, you can be sure of some competitive matches. Local teams relish the chance to play touring sides on their local courts.

In 1784 Admiral Nelson arrived at Antigua and established an important base for the British. Antigua has been attracting people ever since who fall in love with the local culture and enjoy the laid back characteristics and stunning white beaches along the south coast.

A trip up to Shirley Heights to see English Harbour from a birds eye perspective is a must and even better to combine with a meal. The Zip line canopy tour proves very popular with touring sides, along with a day tour of the island taking in many of the gorgeous secluded beaches and local craft markets. As on so many of the islands – there is always the option of a Catamaran cruise and a snorkel.

The joy of this small island is your accommodation and you are never far away from the main attractions and of course the fixtures, which means you have plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic array of activities.
