Schools & Clubs - Grenada

The spice island with the perfect balance.

Grenada is a lovely destination offering you a great mix of relaxation and adventure.  The colourful houses set into the side of the hills make for an enchanting sight as you transfer from fixture to fixture and once you get to know the locals, their willingness to help and share a story will leave long lasting memories.

SPORTS & SEASONS

Cricket

Jan-Dec

Cricket is by far the most popular male sport in Grenada. Matches are played on grounds throughout the island against junior to masters age groups. It is also possible to play at the National Stadium which was rebuilt and used for matches during ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.

Netball

Jan-Dec

As with most of the Caribbean islands' netball is the main sport played by women of all ages, from schools all the way through to senior level. There are many teams to play against who are located throughout the island to make sure the standard of fixture sits perfectly with yours.

CULTURE

Their charming culture is an intriguing blend of African, South American and European influences, which can be seen by the little settlements that cover the island. When not playing sport you can learn about their journey from Colonialism to democracy.

ACTIVITIES

Try a catamaran cruise and snorkel with the local sea life – with a good chance of seeing a turtle. River Tubing amongst the rainforest or else spend your day on the beach at Grand Anse and have a go at sea kayaking or wind surfing. Many schools enjoy a hike up to Seven Sisters Falls and a swim in the fresh river water – a nice break from the salty sea!

ACCOMMODATION

The joy of this small island is your accommodation and is never far away from the main attractions and of course the fixtures, which means you have plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic array of activities.
